Thursday After Hours

The bed
Smells of her.
I’m home.

Look Down to Look Up

Lonely singles,
A table each,
A book,
A paper,
A journal.
Coffee fills the room.
A quiet bing, a faint buzzing
Alertness, fumbling,
Pockets.
Faces lit up by low held screens,
One smile.
A different smile each time,
Each table has its chime.

About Ten Hours

Every

Second

Takes

Forever

Dragging

Their heels

‘Til we’re

Together

The World of Tomorrow

I’ve been sat here
For two leap years,
Staring from the same old window
At the same old grubby tracks
And the road which runs beneath them
Past the ageing redbrick stacks
But next leap year
I won’t be here
I’ll have moved to
A new side view
Of some other concrete crap.

Update Your Diaries

She renamed a weekday
To make it work better
For us.

Cosmic Blast

Just a moment

Supernova

Back now, better

New creator

Feel together

Feeling stronger.

Be Nimble, Be Quick

Spry as a fox in fresh snowfall,

Taste of darkness and

Dank smell of sin

I know when the devil is near me,

How it follows me,

Don’t let it in;

A drip from the ceiling, I notice

Strange contrast, the light

Flickering,

I feel that the devil is closing;

She will guard me, she

Won’t let it in.

Rooftops Later

A skip of the beat,
A slip of the tongue,
Three words,
Whispered,
Soon.

Waiting For Freyja

Three of four bright blues;

Beauty of Atlantis drifts,

Beneath the dress, the shifts,

Her mood is cool, bemused.
