May 2015

Last Day

A fine drizzle drifts
As May whispers the last of winter
Before June announces her intentions.

Razor Barb Danger

Surrounded.
Wire and fences,
Barbed and razored,
Glass-topped walls,
Locks and bolts,
Hidden vaults
But here, an open door.
Spectators.
Watch, aghast,
It’s shut fast,
Yet I stroll,
Nonchalant,
Ebullient,
To wherever I do call.

Twig

No will of its own,
Just tied to the flow,
Sway,

Wash

Drift

To a shore
And to know.

80-81

It’s on target
I’m created
Sprawling grimy
Some days belated
Ghost town playing
Number one
Traumatic scene
Now I’m begun.

Discretion and Faith

She knew everything,
Yet never said a word.
Or so I heard
From her.

Dear Transphobes

Why so afraid?
We are not corrupting the young,
We are opening eyes
And helping to thrive
Those who may not survive
Oppression, repression
And inevitable depression.
Why so enraged?
We hurt no one.
We seek only to live,
Be open,
Be allowed.

Non-Binary

Not one,
Not two,
But several styles,
A change of clothes
For a change of mind,
A world of choice.
Limited by timidity,
Foiled by futility,
Fight without ability,
And maybe,
One day,
Win.

Day By Day By Day

Click clack
Tap tap,
Digits on the desktop rap
Mice which point but never crap
Point at crap
And tap tap
Tap
Tap
Clack
Crap.
Nine til five survive,
Leave relieved
And feel alive.

Ego

I’m resigned,
From time to time,
To loneliness,
Silence and sleep.
Other times
I’m redesigned,
For egotism
Driven in deep.
The latter times,
I often find,
I’d rather be somebody else.
